Long Arm Quilting Services

The Snowflake Mill Quilt Shop offers long arm quilting services. Let me assist you in completing your special masterpiece! Each quilt deserves finishing touches and I can guide you through the process towards the completion of your masterpiece.

To begin the process, you may contact me via text, email, Facebook, or phone call. Correspondence is returned as soon as possible. Just click the contact button for more information. All quilting consults are conducted by appointment, please.

You will have the option to choose from over 100 edge-to-edge pantographs! New pantographs are added quarterly. Custom quilting is currently unavailable.

You will have your choice from over 300+ Superior quality threads!  Approximately 200 full spectrum solid colors are available, in addition to 158 variegated threads in beautifully blended colors.

All the quilting is done on a 'Handi-Quilter' Long Arm Machine. The actual quilting is hand-guided by laser light following the edge-to-edge pantograph of your choice. Every effort will be made to insure accuracy.

My average turn-around time is 6 - 10 weeks.  This time frame is dependent on seasonal influx, though. An approximate time window for completion will be provided, if desired. If a specific date is requested, please specify. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. Short term requests will be considered, however may not be able to be honored. Holiday requests, specifically Christmas, will be accepted no later than October 1 to insure delivery of your quilt by the Christmas holiday season. If binding services are desired, an additional 7 - 10 days are needed to completed your quilt.

When you bring in your quilt for quilting, below are a few guidelines:

  1.  Be sure your quilt is well pressed and free from deep creases

  2.  Batting - it is suggested that the batting be purchased in house.   Premium 100% cotton batting will be used. Polyester batting will not   be used.

  3.  Backings -  standard 108" quilters grade backing in white and neutral   shades are available, in house, from the bolt or by 3 yard cuts

  4.  Backings should be a minimum of 4" wider than the quilt on the sides   and 5" longer on the top/bottom

  5.  Please trim all loose threads from the body of the quilt, as well as from   the sides

  6.  All quilts will be trimmed/sized upon completion, unless otherwise   specified. Your trimmed batting/backing pieces will be returned to you.

  7.  If binding services are requested, please provide the desired binding   fabric, in an adequate amount and preferably not pre-cut. The binding   will be cut, made, machine applied and traditionally, hand sewn. If a   label is desired, please provide the needed information and additional   fabric needed.

  8.  Quilt Size - limited to 104" wide

  9. Payment, in full, is due at the time of pick-up. Deposits are accepted. Checks or cash are the preferred method of payment. Credit/debit card processing is currently not available.
