.Many years ago, a grist mill was built on the banks of the creek  on our property   It was established to cater to the milling of the local grains produced in this area.  As legend tell it,  the flour that was milled in this area had a snowy white appearance to it.  The locals often described it as 'white as a snowflake'.  The snowy white flour was soon named 'Snowflake Flour'.  The mill has since passed, but the memories still live on to those who remember them.

The Snowflake Mill Quilt Shop was established to honor the memories, preserve the heritage and to live a dream - one stitch at a time.

A quilt is as traditional as the country setting in which it was created.  In years gone by, quilts were constructed from the materials on hand.  Their purpose was purely functional and out of necessity for warmth.  Today's quilts are beautiful, fun, practical, decorative and made up of the most beautiful fabrics and designs known to the quilting industry.
