Once employed in the corporate world, I have now redirected my aspiration toward a more rewarding & satisfying venture of making handmade quilts. I have been a seamstress for over 40 years and 15 of those years I have been dedicated to quilt making. The transition was actually quite easy - just a different form of cutting & piecing. Over those years, I have made over 150 different quilt items that I have sold locally or given as gifts to family & friends.
I recently added onto my home & created a newly expanded studio. I provide a well organized, clean & smoke free environment. Good lighting, ample workspace & a peaceful country setting are just a few bonuses.
The quilts that I make are "new first quality". Attention to detail, accuracy & neatness are evident in every custom made quilt. I cut & piece all my own quilt tops & backing.
All the fabrics I have in stock in my studio are purchased new - directly from the major fabric mills or through one of my distributors. These fabrics are the high quality, quilter's grade, 100% cotton fabrics that are only found in speciality quilt shops. The thread I use is a high quality cotton & the batting is 100% cotton.
When purchasing one of my quilts, please keep in mind that I make all my own quilts. You are the purchasing a hand made, traditional style, first quality quilt. Selection and quantity of the quilts will vary from time to time.
When a custom quilt service is desired, please allow up to 12 - 14 weeks for completion. This will allow time for each step of the quilting process to be completed. Be sure to plan ahead for any extraordinary occasion that deserves a special quilt.
In addition, each quilt I have is completely finished, ready for purchase and ready to ship. Please contact me by E-mail if interested in making a quilt purchase or for further questions regarding a custom quilt order.
